My Mother passed a multitude of qualities and hobbies down my way. Things like getting unnecessarily angry when the yolk breaks while cooking eggs over-easy, a love of running (especially when injured). Oh, and Photography!

I received my first camera as a Christmas present in 2002 during my Freshmen year of High School. Which I had told my parents I needed to take great photos, but was really so I could send pics to the internet girlfriend I met playing Starcraft. {AoG}Stephanie, if you’re out there anywhere hmu.

I was ahead of the online dating game by years!

We eventually broke up due to a lack of connection (my internet was out for almost 2 weeks) and I began taking photos of my beloved hometown of San Antonio. Unfortunately, the camera was a Kodak EasyShare and it packed a whopping 1mp camera. Nobody told me that isn’t what the pros used, so I gave up after taking crappy photos in bad lighting…until 2014.

I was finally able to land a real woman, and purchased myself a Canon T3i to take photos of my family. I slowly began falling back in love with photography (and with the help of Flipboard and Youtube) and have managed to turn myself into a pretty decent photographer. Below, you’ll find some of my favorite photos of my travels around the West Coast and my most popular Instagram photos where my 13k followers tell me I am pretty awesome!
